Southern Office Design LLC is a commercial furniture dealership in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, servicing North/Central Alabama and beyond. Our purpose is to provide smart furniture solutions while being good stewards of our clients’ time and money.

Marni A. Ulch is the owner of Southern Office Design LLC. She has over seventeen years’ experience as a salesperson and certified interior designer (NCIDQ 14592). As owner, Marni has the capability of being able to service clients from beginning of project to the end; salesperson to project manager; customer service representative to installer.

Sales

A central belief of Southern Office Design is the best results begin with a forward-thinking, consultative approach. We train rigorously and gather new knowledge and tools to support our clients. We strive to offer the most effective furniture, fixtures and equipment solutions and offer them up in ways in which the client hasn’t considered. 

We listen closely to our clients' requirements for their workspace so we can offer furniture solutions that satisfy those requirements. We help our clients by creating a workspace they envision, a workspace that meets their employees’ needs, and a workspace they can afford. From the initial consultation to the installation, we work hard and communicate often to make our clients’ experience as effortless as possible.

Design

Marni comprises our sales and design team. She is passionate about interior spaces and is constantly seeking new products, innovative office furniture, and ways to improve a clients’ space. She is able to do this by utilizing the latest in computer drafting and design software for each project. Southern Office Design is pleased to offer an expansive resource library of fabrics, finishes, and catalogs to meet any and all project requirements. Clients are encouraged to visit the office and explore the library with Marni.

Customer support serves a critical point in the furniture procurement process. We handle all orders and review acknowledgements from our vendors to insure orders are properly entered and executed. Customer Service also handles ship dates and timely deliveries. We provide information directly to our clients so they know of the most accurate shipping and installation timeframes.

Project Management

Marni acts as project manager to ensure accuracy and project ease from pre-installation phase to completion of project. She is efficient and effective, which results in high quality performance and cost effective solutions.

New Product Education

After a project has ordered, Southern Office Design’s project management continues communication between all parties involved: client, designer, sales, and installer. This approach ensures the product ordered is installed within the proper timeframe. We also educate the client on proper use of their new furniture.

Installation

Southern Office Design’s strategic alliance of trained installers are Licensed, Bonded and Insured Specialists and have many years’ experience installing all over the Southeast. Together our team will handle the client’s project in a timely and professional manner. At the time of delivery, our installers will carefully assemble and install the project, always removing waste from the jobsite. Any products damaged as a result of shipping are reported to the manufacturer for prompt replacement.
